Energy law is the branch of law that regulates the use and taxation of
renewable and non-renewable energy. Energy law generally operates in the
fields of electricity, natural gas, petroleum, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)
markets and renewable energy sources. The first studies on energy law
coincide with the middle of the 20th century. Despite the international
conventions, they are not regulated as a separate section; instead
regulations have been made on energy law through secondary legal sources.
